Subtitles tend to linger only briefly (and sometimes only flash or don't show) when utilizing the dts track for audio. I don't notice the same thing happening with Dolby tracks. It does not happen with all dvds. Is there anyone else who has this problem? Is it the encoding on the dvd? Or perhaps it has something to do with dvd player memory?

Examples: BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF (Canadian)
THE TWINS EFFECT II

It always helps to specify your player.

We watched Brotherhood recently utilizing the DTS track, and had no problems w/ display time of the subtitles. I didn't try Dolby, so I don't know if there was a difference.

We use a Sony NS755V.

Cheers,
Doug

Oh, yes. Good idea, Doug. I'm using a Jaton PSD7611K.

Another example was TAXI 2. Subs flew by!

On the plus side, my speed-reading skills are improving.
