Using the bypass on the Sony defeats the vol. control, so the question is how do I control the main vol. then?

Don, the Millenium has a rotary volume control. It's not remote controllable, but it should work finr for your needs.

Don.. You don't want to hook the DTS decoder to the digital input.. You need to use the 6 channel pass through. You may want to look at the SH-AC500D if it has a remote because the Millenium does not. I am using a receiver that does the volume control. So I just set my EP9ES to reference level and never touch the volume on the Sony. I will do the same for the Millenium (or the Technics).
