Austim Powers is encoded with DTS EX 5.1 and 6.1, my question is can I play the movie in standard DTS mode? I have a Yamaha HTR-5460 receiver and a Sony CX-850D DVD player. I have it set up so it sends a DTS bitstream but still plays in Dolby Digital. Is it possible to watch this movie in DTS or would I have to upgrade my equipment to DTS EX compatible stuff?

Goldmember has both DD EX and DTS ES soundtracks on it, so to get DTS you have to select it from the menu on the DVD.

You don't need DTS ES equipment to play DTS ES discs. They are backward compatible with DTS 5.1. Ditto for DD EX on DD 5.1 equipment.
