I have my hk 525 calibrated for dolby digital with the avia calibration disk and spl meter. For dts there is no way to calibrate with the disk. Do most of you just use the same calibration numbers for dts as dd? If not what do you do?

Yes, once you get your levels balanced you will be set for both DD and DTS. Some receivers(Yamaha comes to mind)have, or had with the models I was familiar with a few years ago, seperate LFE adjustments.

The ranges for DD & DTS were different. If I remember correctly, the DTS LFE adjustment had to be boosted to match the DD level(verified with the Ultimate DVD calibration disc which had DTS test tones including LFE).

Avia doesn't have DTS calibration tones?

I use The Ultimate DVD Platinum with my HK AVR325. It has separate tones for DD and DTS. I think you can find this disk for like $8 from partsexpress.com.

When setting up the two, I do remember having to adjust the sub to a different level but I'm not sure by how much.
