Is it a general rule of thumb that all DVD's are available in DTS format?Their is alot of movies that I would like to add to my collection but all stores don't/won't carry DD & DTS versions but only DD.

No, DTS DVDs make up a relatively small segment of the total number of films available on DVD. for a list of DTS DVDs available as of December 2001, check out DTS's offical list.

*Prepares for a barage of rocks from the DTS camp*
If there is a movie you want to add to your collection and ist only available in DD. I would say "just buy it". Enjoying a great movie now far outweighs waiting for the DTS version.
Do a search for some DTS vs DD threads. Most folk don't see (well, hear) much of a difference between the formats provided the same masters are used.
