I've purchased a pioneer reciever and I'm wondering if I should just buy a center channel speaker like the one for dialogue up front, or two rear surround type speakers?

    Thanks!

I think it depends on the size of your room. My room is 14' wide so I went with a pair of directs for the rear. My only advise is to try it before you make a purchase. I've seen everyone have a different opinion on this setup, so see if maybe you can borrow a buddy's center speaker or a pair of bookshelves to decide for yourself. If your room is only 10' wide a center will probably be fine.
