Dropouts in "On the Road" Hope/Crosby collection? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone else experienced audio/video dropouts on these discs?

I just received it over the weekend and watched the first movie "Road to Singapore" with my two youngest boys. During the first 5 minutes or so of the film, there were picture freeze-ups. I could not see any defects or smudges on the disc, but the picture would freeze or scramble right after the credits. Fast forward seemed to be OK through this section, but normal play didn't work.

Anyone have anything similar? I've read of problems with some Abbott and Costello discs in the recent collections and they are done by the same company.

How does one get defective discs replaced?

My first copy had some problems not playing at the beginning of "Road to Singapore," as I recall. I think there was a tiny scuff on the disc possibly causing it, but I'm not sure. I immediately took it back to the store (Target) and got a replacement, which was problem-free.

Does anyone know how to contact Universal for the return of a faulty disc?
