    Hold the phone.

Though I have no interest in this paricular film, it is a Warner title, is it not?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Warner usually releases Special Editions in batches....

Which begs the question, what else is coming out on that date?

What a beautiful and heart-warming film this is. I once rented "Driving Miss Daisy" and watched it with my grandma. We both loved it and had a good time. I've resisted buying the current DVD for the longest time because of it being 1.33:1. Thankfully, come Feb. 4, I can finally make a purchase.
Miss Daisy: Did you have the air-conditioning checked? I told you to have the air-conditioning checked.
Hoke: Yes'm, I had the air-conditioning checked. I don't know what for though. You never allow me to turn it on.
    Miss Daisy: Hush up!

    A hell of an idea.
Sadly, it's not a Warner title though. [IMG]

If their release patterns are true, I can't wait to find out what other titles will come out as 2 disc SEs. I wouldn't mind one for the Shawshank Redemption!

The last time Warner released a batch of SE's, they marketed 2 of them as Anniversary editions (Singin' in the Rain and Unforgiven).
Was thinking about the possibilities this time around.
The Right Stuff will have it's 20th anniversary next year and the existing DVD can definitely be improved upon.
Mean Streets and Badlands will both be 30 years old in 2003, but I'm not sure Warner deems either of them worthy (sales-wise) of a 2-disc SE. Although I would love to get a better version of Badlands.
Fearless will be 10 years old and is only available in P&S. Once again, not profitable enough I guess.
My money's on Goodfellas and Raging Bull - though they have no real anniversary next year, SE's are supposed to be coming.
    Anyone else have any predictions/possibilities?

    Great call on WB's part.
It's nice to see WB do decent DVD after all these years. [IMG]
