I'm aware of what is required for Dolby Digital on LD (AC-3 RF output and a demodulator). I heard somewhere that since DTS replaces the PCM tracks on a LD, all that's needed is a digital PCM output and a proper reciever. I'm in the process of acquiring a LD player that has a digital audio out, so you can understand my curiosity.

Yeah, for dts playback all you need is a ld player with a digital out and a dts reciever.
