Saw a review of this game on IGN that looked kind of interesting, and I was wondering if anyone had actually played it. Only reason I ask is that it was marked down to $34 at Future Shop, which isn't a bad price, but it could mean that the game is a piece of crap that they're trying to get rid of. Any impressions?

I own it and it's awful.

Rent it if you must, but do not buy it.

If you need more details, I will provide them (though I'm loathe to actually play the game again).

    I can't do that--this is a family-oriented forum, right?

I dunno, I didn't think the game was so bad. There are some glitchy graphics and the play control gets a little wonky, but I admire the developers for tackling such an 'uncool' character and premise. It's so easy to, as a developer, just craft game elements that are 'badass' and self consciously cool. But Muto seems birthed from a very twisted mind.

Not for everyone, but rent it and check it out. I enjoyed the game's irreverence.

I rented the game and and I loved it. I bought it and I'm roughly 60% thru it.

I think it is one of those underated games. It is very original and the level design if very "fresh". Difficulty is just about right.

I own the Xbox version which has Dolby 5.1 support (even though there is nothing interesting sound-wise to write home about). No widescreen support (game looks OK stretched). 480p (progressive) is there.

With conflicting opinions on this one, you should maybe rent it first and judge for yourself.

EBGames, Buy.com, DVDEmpire, Amazon all have the XBox version for 19.99.
