Downward firing subwoofer (1 Viewer)

What’s the benefit of downward firing subwoofer? Can I just take my existing subwoofer and point it downward? Of course, I’ll put some feet to offset from floor.

I'd really stick with the orientation that the sub was designed for. Each style, where the driver(s) is, ported, sealed and so on are interconnected. You can't change one without needing to change others.
