I want to build a downfiring sub, but is the correct way to mount it to the wood just to screw it in from the bottom?

It seems to me like that's an awful lot of weight for 4 or so screws to be holding up.

    Thanks!

Depends on the size of the driver but I think there are many with 6 screws plus, most people will add a ring of foam striping just like the stuff you weatherize your doors with and maybe even some silicon sealer. With all that holding the driver it's not likely to go anywhere.
