Elephant films in France has done a wonderful job of releasing most of Douglas Sirk's Universal films on blu ray and some only on DVD. I purchased their DVD only edition of Sirk's Meet Me At The Fair (1953) last year and was disappointed. Faded colors and a very soft looking transfer lacking clarity. So it was with some trepidation that I ordered their DVD only release of Sirk's Take Me To Town (1953) with Ann Sheridan and Sterling Hayden, a charmer of a movie. The good news is that while it's not ready for any HD transfer, it's eminently watchable. The colors are vivid and bright and the picture is clear.
