Along with the BluRay is a very nice booklet with a "Directors Note" section describing the history of the Donbass. Donbass is an industrialized region in the Ukraine which was developed during the first half of the 20th century. The region was industrialized by mostly employing free labor of the GULAG prisoners. Their descendants settled in the area creating a peculiar community based around the factories and labor camp barracks. In recent years the area became extremely criminalized. The movie consists of 13 episodes narrating individual stores that took place in the occupied territory. The stories are fiction but they are based on real events. The audio is in Ukraine with English subtitles.
