Very sad to hear of this. He was a very talented man, and his work influenced the way many of us laugh at - and look at - ourselves.

I've been anxiously waiting for the show to be released on DVD (it's coming next year) because I want it in my collection forever.

My sincere condolences to Mr. Adams' family and friends.

When I was in college (mid-1980s), there was a large TV room in the student union. Most of the time it was half-full of soap opera fans but at 11:30 every weekday it would be standing room only for that day's episode of Get Smart.
