Great film with some great performances. Well worth upgrading for me. Hopefully, we will get some solid details during the upcoming WB chat as they had indicted in their previous chat that this was planned for 2005.

My opinion....

Dog Day Afternoon is Pacino
at his finest. A better performance
than you'll see in the Godfather films
or even Scarface.

A very young and vibrant actor at the
top of his game.

I may be wrong about this, but it's the
last time that I saw any sort of innocense
displayed in a Pacino character. He's still
a youngster here.

Up until the '90s, this was my all-time
favorite movie. Since then Braveheart
and Glory have taken the top spots,
but I can say confidently that Dog Day
Afternoon is one of the finest films I
have ever seen and one of the best films to
come out of the '70s era.

BTW, this film made "Amoreena" one of my
top Elton John songs.
