Does the xbox play dvds in progressive scan? (1 Viewer)

Does the xbox play dvd in progressive scan or just games? I was lead to beleive that xbox only plays games in p-scan. Do most people use xbox as their primary dvd player? What features do you lose by using xbox as your dvd player?

P-scan is in games-only... not the DVD mode (guess they want people to buy it as a game machine and not a DVD player )

So I was correct. I just went and bought MotoGP2 today and I told the guy that I don't use my Xbox for dvd because it lacks p-scan on dvds. He said I was wrong it does do p-scan on movies and games. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

The only way to enable Progressive Scan for the DVD player is using a hack/modchip. Out of the box, it doesn't do P-scan for movies.
