I have the same problem with my SD1200 and "...The Holy Grail". I only rented Spy Games and it was annoying but I have no intention of buying it.
Does anybody know if the "Spanish" fix works for the Holy Grail DVD?

    Bob -
By 'The Spanish' fix, if you're referring to setting your player for a subtitled language that isn't on the disc, my experience is that it's more of a 'not-fixed' as opposed to a 'fix'.
I tried this using an SD-5109, selecting various languages that weren't encoded as subtitles on the "Grail SE"... everything from Azerbaijani to Zulu, but one of the subtitles would always pop up as before.

So far, the only known fix for this is to send the afflicted set back to CTHE, complete with case and slipcover and they will send you a copy with the subtitles 'locked' (meaning that you can't turn them on and off 'on the fly')...unless you can find a 'corrected' version at retail level.

I still find this situation somewhat ironic, as most who buy this title by now almost know the script word-for-word.... "Rocky Horror Holy Grail Show " ?????
