My copy of Criterion's Complete Monterey Pop Blu ray set should be arriving soon, courtesy of the Amazon sale ...
Can anyone who already has this tell me if all the extras have been given the full Blu ray treatment, or are some/most of the extras just SD ports -- in which case I'll have to keep my old DVD set to avoid the usual image degradation of SD material ported across to Blu ray discs

Let us know when you get it. I have this on my wish list to upgrade the DVD box I have.

According to the Blu-ray.com review, the extras are 1080i, so upscaled SD. I believe that the Blu-ray set also lost some of the printed material from the DVD booklet, so, if that is of interest to you, it is another reason to hang onto the DVD set.

Both the DVD and Blu editions have the same booklets- One for the main feature and one for Otis Redding/Hendrix disc.

As far as I know, Criterion always uprezzes their SD supplements to 1080 for blu-ray.

checked Criterion's site and everything in the booklet is carried over to the Blu-ray set except "a 1968 Rolling Stone article by Jann Wenner"
