From the review that Michael linked to in his post... From what I've read (no firsthand knowledge) even the Blu-ray release is subpar with respect to picture quality.

The problem with the Blu-ray is that it doesn't look gritty at all. In any case, we've answered Dick's question (assuming he checks back, which he rarely does).
