I never even heard of this conspiracy until a few months back when my sister and her husband tried to convince me after they watched some special on TV(can't remember what channel). The funny thing was I had just finished watching For All Mankind CC a few days prior so I couldn't believe anyone, especially my own sister would believe such nonsense.

Even though I don't believe it,I was wondering if there was anyone else who does think the moon landings were a hoax and please give examples of why you think so.Conspiracies are a hoot whether you believe them or not.

I have not seen enough hard evidence that the moon landing was a hoax, so I therefore believe that man did indeed walk on the moon.

I have seen enough proof that the landings actually took place.

Also, I can judge the arguments against: bollywog.

Actually, it should be pretty easy to prove whether or not the moon landings were real. Part of the lunar module was left behind, surely the Hubble telescope can resolve enough detail on the moon's surface to be able to see it.
Unless you think the Hubble is fake too... [IMG]

My goodness gracious, not this topic again.

    1) The most important events in human history were not faked. What we now know about the Moon is based entirely on the results of Project Apollo. The ALSEP (Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package) arrays left behind by Apollos 12, 14-17 are still returning data from their Lunar Laser Range Reflectors (Apollo 11 carried a much simpler experiments package to the Moon).

    2) Anyone would be foolish to take seriously an "expose" program put on by Fox, the same network that gave us that stupid "alien autopsy" program.

    Jeez louise.

No of course it wasn't a hoax. Maybe "critical thinking" should be a requied course in high school?

Now, now, people, let us not become agitated.
As I've said many times before, I "believe" in nothing. That is to say I neither believe nor disbelieve that the moon landings took place. Based on all the evidence I personally have been exposed to, I'm inclined to think it more likely that it wasn't a hoax.
That being said, I could easily respond to:

As part of whatever education bill is considered by Congress, there should be provisioning for subscriptions to Skeptical Inquirer magazine for all high schools in America.

Yeah Rain, but people were paying alot of attention at the time of the moon shots, the only evidence is not old film footage.

Saturn Vs were launched, they did go somewhere. The radio commiunications between space craft and Earth were listend to, monitored, measured and recorded by many independant people. We launched something to the moon and it returned, all the time communicating with Earth over the radio.

IF the crew remained in Earth orbit people would have noticed, if we faked it the Russians at least would have known and would not have kept it a secret I am sure, and in any case they would not have been the only ones who would know it. So if the landings were faked we went to a great deal of trouble to make it look like a spacecraft was launched into orbit and then travlled to orbit around the moon, to its surface and back, and back to earth. Given the technology of the day, it would more difficult to do that without having a crew on board than with.
