Does anybody rent DirecTV receivers?

    The topic says it all. I want to know if I can get an HDTV one for a couple of months.

    Doubtful. The headaches of something like that would be hard to imagine...

    I'm not sure if DirecTV does but dishNetwork does.. I'm basically renting a 501 PVR (digital recorder) unit with AT150 (no local programming) for $55/month. And I have a second 301 unit as the secondary receiver. But you do need to sign up for a year not just a few months..
