I have been reading different opinions on this and wanted to know why or why not I should use a DVD lens cleaner on my player.

I currently have a CD/CD-ROM lens cleaner, would that also work for a DVD player?

The CD lens cleaner I have is the "dry" disc with sets of small bristle type brushes on the underside which are supposed to clean the lens of dust, debris and smoke.

I appreciate you opinion.

Thanks,

Brian

In my opinion, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Most DVD players don't have vent holes for dust to enter through, so unless you keep your player in an unusually dusty environment, I wouldn't use one of these. No matter how you slice it, you have a disc spinning at 500 rpm banging into a fairly delicate laser assembly.
