I was wondering if The Facts of Life gets to a season 4, do you think they will include the Paris movie with it as one two hour movie? I saw around last week that it was rumored season 3 may be out by late this year or early 2007 as asles have apparently been quite good.

If they do, they need to include it as it originally aired: A 96-minute movie, not as four 22-minute syndicated episodes.

    I think they will.

I admit I am not as wild about the TV movies as I was about the series tho. The Paris movie was way too dark in picture compared to the series.

It was shot on film, and probably deliberately underexposed, as was the style for TV movies in the 1970s and early 1980s. Assuming all the post-production was done on film, they could remaster "Goes to Paris" relatively easily from the film elements, but the post-production for "Down Under" was on tape though it was shot on film.

I saw the Facts of Life Reunion on the weekend and I'm wondering if they'll include it in the ninth season box set. Or will they release it in a separate DVD after the entire series have been released? Just wondering.

I don't think we'll see the FOL reunion on a season set. Sony owns seasons 1-9, Buena Vista owns the reunion movie

I don't know if the movies are owned by the same entity; can anyone check? Hopefully they are and their inclusion won't be any kind of problem. If worse comes to worst, than maybe they'll release those movies as separate disks (I hope not).

if you're talking the TV movies from 82 and 87, they have always aired in the syndication packet with the show. The reunion movie is a different story though.

some of us grew up with the show. It definately wasn't an Emmy-worthy sitcom or anything, but it's definately one of the only shows I watched back then that still holds up today. I can't say that about any of the TGIF shows.

I agree. FOL was up to #5 or #6 on the most wanted list on TSOD before Sony announced it. Even if it's not your preferred show of choice, why bother asking "why do people actually like this show?". Many of us who grew up in the 80's have a special place for that show.
