I started two threads in the Movies area over the weekend and got zero replies. I've been here long enough to not take it personally but to just fluff it off and move on, but at the same time I feel like i'm talking to myself when that happens. [IMG]
    Anyone else?

Usually I tend to feel even more foolish when someone actually responds, and points out my errors and misconceptions...
No, I know what you mean, but that's life I guess.

As long as you don't start bumping your own non-for sale posts, you shouldn't be embarassed. [IMG]

No, I just figure that nobody likes me, but that's OK, sniff, sniff.

Well John thanks to that roll over title reveal thingy that Parker implemented [love that word... implemented! say it once more.. impelementoid, oh forget it!] there's no need to click on anyone's thread ever again bwahahaha!!
It's even affected the views counter, less views for every thread now hehehe, sorry I'm in a silly mood.
What you can do is... the first sentence in your first post should be something along the lines of "YOU BASTARDS WON'T BELIEVE THIS!" or "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR FRIGGIN' OPINION IS BUT THIS FILM WAS GREAT!" so when I roll over my pointer on your thread title I'll have this urge to click on it and post a rather rude reply to your thread which ultimately locks the thread up! Howzat?[IMG]

I figure if no one responds to my post it is because I said everything so succinctly and correctly that no one had anything more to add.
    I'm perfect that way...

I suppose that I would, but as a new member, I have not started enough to have a valid view. I was a bit surprised that you started two to which no one had responded. Mostly because your opinions are usually stated with enough conviction and detail that your comments almost demand a response.

Checked it out and as I’d not seen ‘Fort Washington’ and its not on DVD, had no reason to comment. I expect that many others were in the same boat.

As for A Beautiful Mind, this movie was one of my disappointments, though many whose opinion I respect (yours included) really liked this one. Saw no reason to simply disagree, the more so as this was a movie that just did not meet my expectations—its not one that I care about strongly, one way or the other.

Now with the views displayed, it's worse knowing that few people read your thread. [IMG]

Hey, hey! What's going on in here. Didn't you all get the memo that we're supposed to ignore John's threads? So what do you think this....um....er.....oops...(bag open, cat out).

What's even worse is when you post a new thread one week (swarm) with little or no response, then the next week someone else posts a very similar thread (bees)that gets more responses, and articulate ones at that. Makes you feel about this_ high, know what I mean?[IMG]
Hell, if I had started this particular thread, I'd be willing to bet even it would fall flat.

I did see the ABM special effect (non-)thread [IMG]. Didn't respond because I hadn't watched the supplements yet.
My only reply would have been that your post was a potential spoiler. Probably not what you wanted to hear.
OK, I will go reply just to make you feel better [IMG]

This thread would have been great if everyone had the self-control not to post a reply to it... [IMG]
