Do You Always Beat The Game? (1 Viewer)

I make every effort to finish the game, but it really depends on how much fun the game is and how much time I have. Case in point, I haven't finished Freedom Force (though I've been going very slowly and restarted once just to savor the process anyway) while Resident Evil, which I bought later, I've finished twice already.
Also, depends on the time I've invested. Games like Final Fantasy 8 or 9 where I put 60+ hours into each one, I am damn well going to finish . Something that can't hold my interest for a longer period (ie Abe's Exoddus) just gets shelved.
Life's too short to play games that don't appeal to me.

I don't normally, but I am mainly a sports gamer, and you really can't "finish" those. The games I have finished are:

Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
Luigi's Mansion
Hot Shots Golf 3 (King/Expert, all characters)

That's it. I usually play anywhere from 2-10 seasons in my sports games, so that's where the majority of my time goes.

Just wanted to pop in and recommend Gamefaqs.com. It really is a great resource for those games that are next to impossible. I used it a lot while playing GTA3...

I'm the same way. I rarely ever finish a game. I simply get bored with them and move on to something else.
BrianB - I LOVE Hoyle Casino on the DC! It's the only DC game I still play. My wife and I used to sit and play for hours at a time.

Well finishing a game is a sketchy thing. You can beat the final boss without getting all the secrets, like most RPGs or Metal Gear Solid 2 or Devil May Cry. Some games you just don't "beat" (like SSBM).

I would say I have beaten either half or a slight majority of my games. Not all, not even close, but a good portion. I also didn't get into games that much until the late SNES era.

I did beat Jaws yesterday!
