    YES we do.
    Our lager,
    Which art in barrels,
    Hallowed be thy drink,
    Thy will be drunk,
    (I will be drunk),
At home as I am in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
    And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those who spill against us,
and lead us not to incarceration,
    But deliver us from hangovers,
    For Thine is the beer,
    The bitter and the lager,
    Forever and ever, Barmen.

    Peace Out~[IMG]

I knew something was fishy when I saw the title of the thread and you were the starter. I thought that perhaps you had converted to the dark side!

Does anyone else find it ironic, given his love of beer, that his HTF user name is Ron-P? [IMG]

    Well,
at least I can reply to this post without having to worry about getting booted off the forum.
I work third shift ...so I am able to pop open my Guiness as I type this.[IMG] I am wondering two things as I drink this
1)What is the beer in the glass that Ron is holding(I have often wondered this...
and 2) how do they get this widget out of the bottle when they recycle it????

Beer threads, they always bring a smile to my face.
The beer in my sig pic, I believe (it's been a while) is a Belk's ESB (Extra Special Bitter). The Beer I'm drinking on my Green Room home page is a Widmer Bros. Hefeweizen.

Now, there's a man who's serious about his beer. More people need access to really good microbrews. Really, that supermarket stuff is often a disgrace. There's a great microbrewery restaurant in Westwood that makes you never want to go back to supermarket twelve-packs (and we're talking awesome taste and quite higher alcohol levels).

Pity those who are stuck with Crudweiser and its ilk.

    mmmm.... beer.

There's a good microbrewery near here that will sell you beer "to go" in big plastic 2 litre bottles.

Before y'all jump all over young RonP, let's give him some time to 'splain himself. I believe he typically posts on weekends. I, for one, am very interested in what he has to say.

He does raise an interesting point, though; something many of us have thought but have hesitated to post: why is a beer thread OK, but not, say, a peppermint schnapps thread? Or even a Bloody Mary thread (religious overtones aside)?

Now, before you point your finger at me and scream, "beeraphobic!", understand that I am as tolerant as the next guy. In fact, I enjoy the brew as much as anyone this side of Otis Campbell. While many beer drinkers enjoy their beverages in the privacy of their homes, there are some who venture out into public to sip the suds. Some folks have a problem with this. (Not me.)

So, RonP, enjoy your beer (not that there's anything wrong with that). I am not offended by your post, nor am I disgusted with your beer-some lifestyle. Quaff and let Quaff.

    Jon,

    Pulling up a chair
