Do I wait for Firewire or not? (1 Viewer)

Since I just ordered the Mits 65909 RPTV last week, do you folks think I should wait for Denon to come out with a firewire or not?

I've been thinking the same thing. I've got a nearly 5 year old Denon 3200 with Dolby Digital: no dts/6.1 or Pro Logic II. While I know that not having firewire will not make a receiver absolete, it would be nice to cut down on the number of wires and maybe have some better interaction between my components.

I thought the benefits of FireWire were:

1. Connect a digital camcorder

2. Fast software updates

3. Possibility for future digital connection of DVD-A/SACD players

Unless I am missing something, none of these would be a deal breaker in any of my new equipment considerations.
