Do I really need high resolution speakers to take advantage of dvd audio? (1 Viewer)

I have paradigm monitor 7 speakers up front and I have a Panasonic RP-91 that I have had over a year and I have never tried dvd audio on it. But I keep noticing ads saying you need "high resolution speakers" to appreciate sacd and dvd audio. Is this true or just hype? Thank you.

The 7s should do just fine. SACDs sounded great with my 5s, right up until I sold them

I'm not sure you need them to really enjoy the DVD-A but the higher frequencies can make quick work of a tweeter that can't handle it. Make sure you have the player set to filter those frequencies.
