I've decided on the Toshiba 57hx93. Does it require a HDTV tuner or is there one incorporated into the set?

Got my answer by reading other posts. This brought up some new questions for me. Does the 57 have smaller CRT's than the 65? Is the only difference between the 93 and the 83 the tuner?

    thanks in advance,

As best as I can tell the 65 and the 57 both have 7" CRTs.

The HX93 has more upgrades than just the tuner. I recommend you go to www.onecall.com and compare the features.

I've ordered that set locally but theu are out of stock. I know a little about features.
1)The HX93 has an integrated OTA HD decoder
2)Multi Card slot with JPEG viewer for digital camers pics viewing
    3)Firewire ports
    4)Megaband@ Wide Band Video Amplifier
    5)Gemstar interactive program guide

and a few other things but these are the high points.
I liked the stretch settings on the Tosh better tha Hitachi which seemed to cut off too much of the pic when expanding 4:3 material to fill the screen.
