hey guys I am looking to move my surround speakers down about 5 feet but in order to this I Would have either change my 4 year old monster xp 16 guage speaker wire and put new ones which might be a little diffucult since my attic is hard to get to. OR I can tye to speaker wire together. I woudl need to tie anywhere from 5-7 feet of wire to the old cable. Woudl I lose quality if I do this or shoudl i try to add new speaker wire.

There could be some signal loss but 99% of people would be hard pressed to hear a difference. Just do a good job of connecting them together.
