Do flat screen have the same longevity as a regular tube tv?

    Do flat screen have the same longevity as a regular tube tv?

    By flat screen I'm assuming a flat faced tube display (not plasma), and they haven't had them for nearly as long as curved tube CRTs on regular TVs.
    But they have had flat screen computer monitors for many years.
    And if that's any indication, they should have an equal lifespan to the traditional curved CRT tubes.
