Do Dolby Labs and DTS have "Demo" DVD's we can get our hands on?

Yeah I have the DTS demo dvd and some of the demos are pretty good. My favourites on it are Saving Private Ryan and the Eagles.
I think you can still get them for free or maybe 5 bucks.
Does someone have the url for these?

The above link is a great one for dts demo material, logo stuff etc. I have the dts demo 3 & 4 and I can tell you, they are certainly worth having when you demo your system. Each disc is loaded with memorable clips of some great movies and each one gives a slightly different "view" of what the dts sound is about.
There was a time that dtsonline would send you the demos for free but that has been some time ago. Actually it should be about time #5 was showing up.
When I am demo-ing my system, I use #3 mostly and that DAYLIGHT clip sure wakes my SVS sub up. The TITANIC clip just about tears the sofa in half..... The Dragonheart clip demos active rears well and the Eagles give a dynamite imaging demo. There's also some dts 5.1 audio demo CD (s) that have very ,very nice demo material for just the audio side.
Get your hands on these if possible. Sometimes you'll see them for sale on an HT forum somewhere but not often.

I have the Dolby Digital DVD demo disk and it is pretty cool! It was $20, and has several of their trailers. My favorite is the City Trailer, where the helicopter flies over the city. The dynamics are very cool! Also, the Rain trailer is pretty cool. I would highly recommend it. It also includes two 5.1 music mixes, as well as the DPL mixes for comparison.

ou can always find a few demo discs up for auction on Ebay. IMO, if you live in Canada, its cheaper to pick em up from ebay than from dtsonline, esp considering the shipping dtsonline is asking.

    Mike,
I got mine in on Friday. It has the THX tek 2 trailer and jungle sounds. Three music videos and 3 multi channel sound music. As well as info on Kenwood's Sovereign components. The only thing is that it made my Sony 560d DVD player crap out. What a coincidence. I played it on my computer because my wife was watching TV, I put it in later on my DVD player and C 13 00. It hasn't worked since. Good luck to anyone else with DEMO disc!

Thank you for the information everyone. This is exactly
what I wanted. I should have just went to DTS and Dolby
Lab's web sites and I could have found it.. It's a shame
that these demo's aren't free, We have to pay for free
advertising for these companies. Ohh well I am still
going to order one from each company [IMG]
I also ordered the free Kenwood Demo DVD and if it
craps out my Sony DVP then I guess Kenwood will give
me a shiny new DVD player.. (I don't see how a DVD could
damage a player it has to just be a co-inky-dink)
Again thanks for the info all!

One qustion regarding DTS ES (6.1). I have a 5.1 set up. Will the DTS ES sound as good as "regular" 5.1 DTS? If this is a stupid question, I apologize, as I am pretty new to HT. Thanks.
