I've currently got a 7.1 Paradigm setup, using Mini monitors for my surrounds and Titans as my rear surrounds. I'm considering upgrading to some ADP's for the surrounds, but have a few questions:

    1. Do dipoles have to be wall-mounted for proper effect? (this is not possible in my current setup)

    2. Would it be a bad idea to use dipoles for my surrounds and keep the Titans/Mini monitors (direct) as my rears?

    3. Should I just stick with my current setup?

No, you just would want to try to position them so you sit between and say a foot forward of the two speakers. I really like the dipoles for movies and since you have/I would use, the mini's for the rears, I'd get the dipoles for the sides. But........if you happy with your current setup why change? I demoed dipoles in home before switching from Monitor 7's to dipole ADP 370's for sides/rears for my 5.1 setup and would suggest you do to if you can.

Thanks Wayne. I will try to demo a pair before I make the final decision...good advice.
