Do BestBuy.com preorders come on release date? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I've often picked up orders from Bestbuy.com but have never had one shipped. Now that they have free shipping on everything and a $10 coupon for LoTR preorders, I was contemplating preordering this online from them.

My question is: do preorders tend to come on street date? This is one title I'm itching to watch but if Bestbuy.com routinely ships late, I'd rather just get it in-store somewhere (it will be a loss leader, no doubt, somewhere) rather than wait.

I think that it has more to do with:
The releasing company of the DVD,
When their warehouse gets stock,
When you placed the order,
How far away you are from the warehouse used to ship the order.

As I have received Pre-Orders from Bestbuy.com both a week early and a week late and any time between....

Some have shipped from CA, FL, TX, and others from Il.
