DMR-E30 manual chaptering... HELP! (1 Viewer)

Anybody who owns the DMR-E30:

I need to do custom chaptering on my recordings (not the default autmatic chaptering every 5 minutes). Can anybody help?

With that many people owning the DMR-E30 (and its siblings), nobody can give me any answer? help help help help help .... Wheeeeeeeeeee!

David, the Panny DVD recorders can't do manual chapter insertions. You just get the automatic chapters every 5 minutes after a DVD-R is finalized.

If you have separate segments/episodes/programs you're recording, record them one at a time & they'll be saved as separate "titles." Rec-stop creates a separate program/title; rec-pause continues as the same program/title. During playback, you'll get almost seamless playback (~1 sec pause) from one title to the next. These titles will appear as separate programs in your finalized DVD-R's menu.
