Some more developments re: the xHD3, it looks like, according to information from the Perfect Vision posted at AVS:
"Merson says that
the xHD3 is 0.85" with 960x1080 pixels
the HD3 is 0.55" with 640x720 pixels
both are angled at 45 degrees
Half the pixels are displayed in 1/120 of a second
then a moving mirror shifts the image over one pixel width and
then displays the other half of the pixels for 1/120th of a second.

The function of the mirror would seem to imply that it has a fixed focus distance, thus perhaps why it is only seeing action in RPTVs to begin with? Or that it will be available in fixed-focal length FP.
