OK, so a local retailer has the 50" Samsung 5065W DLP unit (supposedly on its way) but my local Best Buy has the 50" 507W unit in house... what do I get? What is the difference between the new one and the old DLP? No one seems to have a straight answer for me... is the F. Chip better? Help me out!

There is NO difference between the two except for the bezel color. IIRC, the 507W has a dark grey or black bezel and the 5065W has the silver bezel.
Both units have the Faroudja chip. It's lust that one of them doesn't have the logo on the outside.
Get whichever one you can get the best deal on.;)

Remember that the Faroudja chip is only involved in up-converting ordinary 480i video into progressive. If you dont have a HDTV source and watch a lot of cable/sat, then the Faroudja chip is a big advantage.
