I’ve used my Avia disk on my Toshiba RPTV a few times over the years and have always been pleased with the results.
Anyone who has ever used this software can agree that not every set is going to arrive at the same settings. A color setting on my Toshiba might be the worst setting for a Hitachi
One adjustment that everyone did seem to agree on was the sharpness level. Just about anyone that I’ve come across agrees that the lower the better. Most people kept their setting at a level in the lower or lowest range
Now the question, I recently purchased a DLP Rear projection Panasonic. I ran Avia and set up all the Video settings. But when I set the sharpness levels it matches the disk at 33. This is easily 25 points higher the my Toshiba.
Is this normal for a DLP style set, or have I missed something? The picture looks incredible so I’m reluctant to change it.
