I'm looking to embark on a DIY furniture project that, while simple, will require some unique hardware items. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good source for odd mechanical pieces.

Specirfically I'm looking for an adjustable arm to mount a tray (similar to a keyboard tray) attached to the underside of a tabletop. The arm would be approximately Z shaped and would need to be adjustable in several ways, and be mounted to slide the entire tray in and out under the table...

I'm kinda looking for a lighter duty version of this:

That i could mount a pair of them under a table top to support a long platform and slide it in/out from under the tabletop.

I imagine someone SOMEWHERE sells supplies for people building office furniture- I just can't find it.
