This is my first post on Hometheaterforum. I've been reading for a while but haven't posted yet.
My question: Does anyone know of a DIY tower speak with a side firing sub? I want a tall, skinny tower but deep enough for a 10" or 12" sub. I've seen some of the store speakers like Acoustic Research but I haven't sound any DIY. I'm more intrested in plans and crossovers then the kit (I like to build everything myself).
These would be used 90% movies, 10% music. I allready have a powered sub but I want my front speakers to go deep also.
Thanks so much!

I would prefer it. I'd like it to be a 3 way tower that can go down to 30hz. I want something that sounds good and looks nice (I like the side firing sub).
Thanks

somone i once wrote they were considering an adire kit281s built with a large secondary chamber to house a side firing shiva. they planned on using a secondary amp and crossover for the 2 subs. these would have had size/profile close to the 281v, but with the added driver.
seems like a reasonable idea, but i dont know if they were ever built.
