I want thinking about going the DIY route. However, I do not want to build my own enclosure. I was hoping to buy a nice cherry or other nice wood maybe laminate enclosure to use. Is this possible and where would I find one. Do I have to build my own enclosure. What are my options. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

A nice enclosure like that will probably have to come from your local cabinet shop. Another option is a raw MDF enclosure from eD and you can apply a veneer yourself. No power tools needed but you will need a garage type space because the contact cement stinks.

But if you have the tools and basic woodworking knowledge, building your own enclosure is easy. It's just a box. Here's an old but very applicable site that documents a DIY sub build - link.
