I want to cover my kit281s with grills. I am looking for specifications for “audio transparency” for different types of cloths. Any ideas??

Parts Express carries speaker cloth in various colors that works quite well. Others have claimed that if you can see light through it you can use it for speakers.

Burlap has excellent transparency and it gives your speaker the medieval look. hehe

Go to a fabric store or a Wallmart and find single knit polyester. It stretches so it'll be easy to make a nice cheap grill.
