hi folks. I hope this isnt too redundant, as I see a lot of questions from people contemplating thier first DIY project.
I am planning on building a sealed cabinet sub, either 10 or 12". Initially I am planning on this woofer--> Link Removed .. and a well built cabinet of either MDF or marine ply. A 250 watt plate amplifier will be powering this sub.
So my questions:
For a sealed cabinet, are there more suitable drivers available?
Is there reference material available for bracing techniques for sealed cabs, or should I just be looking at the premade kits for an idea on what it should look like?
Considering the wattage and speaker, is the upgrade to marine plywood worthwhile? Or is that preferred for larger situations?
Thanks in advance!
