    Hey,
Just Bought a HT Projector and i need a Screen, I have read on many forums that they recommend you use "Blackout Cloth" for the screen. Just want your word in saying that this is a good material to use, or can you recommend another material.

and would you recommend having a board on the back of the screen so there is no wrinkles

    Cheers
    Grant

I'm in the minority, but I preferred my plain unpainted blackout cloth screen to samples of Dalite HCCV, Vutec GrayDove and the dDog DIY paint mix popular on AVS. My brother did as well. He knows nothing about what the different screens where supposed to do, I just asked him which one he thought looked the best.

I'd recommend buiding a frame and stretching the fabric onto it like you'd stretch a painters canvas. This will get you a perfectly flat screen, the plain board method won't.
