Hi All-

Now that I have a LITTLE bit of experience with DIY projects and not to mention I have MORE tools now than I ever thought I would, I want to tackle a DIY L/C/R kit project.

My Current HUMBLE set-up consists of the following:

L/C/R : Bose AM7 (Flame away if you’d like, that’s why I am UPGRADING)

Surround : Harman Kardon HKTS 5 (just surrounds w/out the sub)

AV Receiver : Harman Kardon AVR110

Subwoofer : Tempest Sonosub with the AVA250 Plate amp

TV : Hitachi 53” HDTV

DVD : Pioneer DV333

VHS : Panasonic VHS

LD : Yamaha LD Player

Dish Network Cable

Shelf : Soon to be FLEXY Rack

It seems that the Sonosub is drowning out my mains and center, this is why I am planning an upgrade.

I’ve read a lot of posts here with different types of DIY L/C/R kits but I cannot decide on which one to build. I’m not that experienced with building my own crossover so I guess I’ll buy a pre-built one.

My budget for this upgrade is about $1000 for ALL speakers.

Please give some ideas (Reviews are more than welcome) and LINKS to these KITS to get me started.

All inputs are very much appreciated

Thanks

Angelo

Check out GR-Research.com

They have a wide range of kits avalible. All of them are audiophile quality but cost about the same as mid-fi speakers. AV1's or AV1+'s should be right for just about any HT. Check em out.
