From a DIY newbie:

I am very interested in a DIY project to replace existing speakers (maybe a 2nd room HT). I currently have:

Infinity Entra One's for front and back
Entra Center 2
Entra Sub One

I would love to replace or build a new HT setup if I could
improve soundstage and clarity via higher-end components and design? Some of the designs I have seen appear to meet the "wife" criteria for appearance?

I have been looking at Parts express. Their prices seem reasonable? How would I begin to choose high-end components outside of price or mimicing someone else's project?

TIA,

Dan.

Stay with proven designs for speakers. Find a kit or build a design that an experienced speaker designer has available. Subs are easier, so start with how low, loud, cost, complexity you want to go. Do you have the tools and skills needed or will you just buy boxes?
