Anybody watch VH1's Las Vegas Diva's concert last night (5-23-02)? Regarding the audio. Was it just me, or did the 5.1 audio sound muddy, flat, and poorly mixed? It sounded okay in stereo, but multi-channel seemed a disaster. Thought it might be my system, but the commercials and promos during the special sounded just fine. What happened?

I agree - but I was watching with analog outs from my DirecTV receiver. I had to turn the volume up quite a bit to get good sound out of it, and then the commercials would come on pretty loud. I at first thought my system or my room was just not up to the task, but now I think it was the way the audio was mixed after reading your impression.
