I am getting my new Benq PE8700+ this week. I am concerned about my setup now that I have seen some others. My room is 17' deep. My intention was to put a shelf on the back wall, up by the ceiling. However, I am being told that 17' might be too much distance to keep the image only 92" (the size of my screen).

Is this true?... any suggestions(aside from a ceiling mount?

Thanks

This tells me optimal seating distance.

Maybe I should restate my question, I may have been unclear. I already have the screen (92") and have the seating set up (about 12'). What I am wondering is if I will be able to put the projector on the back wall (17' away) and have the picture fit the 92" screen. I am being told that the projection will be too big to fit the screen.

thanks again.

Thanks... that is what I needed (well, that and apparently a ceiling mount to mount the projector about 10.5' away)!!! Thanks

Thanks Greg... will be calling you... and actually Greg, you may be of some help here...

I just got the projector and had to hook it up. Well, I placed it on a tabletop at the distance that I will need and the top of the image seems to curve downward on the right hand side (top). Keystoning is straight and the bottom lines up, but then I see curviture just at the top right. Anything I can doi about this? Hope I am not stuck with this on such an expensive machine. I didnt see this on the display I saw.

by the way... anyone with an answer will be appreciated. The question wasn't aimed just at Greg (however, I have a feeling he will have an answer for me) ;)
