I am thinking of getting a new front or rear projector for my HT. My room is about 18 feet deep with two rows of seating. My question is: If you are veiwing SD, how big is too big? In other words, does the picture wash out at a certain size or bigger with SD? I realize that with HD almost any size will work but when I looked at some SD programs on front projectors it was disappointing. I am thinking of a 72" or 82" RPTV vs a front projector. HD and DVD may work but I still end up watching SD half the time, is it watchable on the bigger screens? Ideas, thoughts?

I love my front projector, but I do not watch SD programming on it. SD does not look very good on any projector. We just use our's for DVD's and HDTV. Since 50% of your use will be SD, I would pass on a projector. Or you can use a separate TV for SD programming, and the projector for DVD's and HDTV.
